History

We were founded in 1999 by our CEO Michael Johnson, and his wife, Amy, as Future Community Services, Inc. — known today as the HOALiving Network — to meet the growing real estate management needs along Utah’s Wasatch Front. Originally based in West Jordan, our 20,000 square foot corporate headquarters now sits along I-15 in Draper. Additionally, we now have staff and offices in Provo, Salt Lake City, Ogden, St. George, Cedar City, Park City, Tooele, Rigby and Boise.

We are the recognized leader in association management in Utah and Idaho because of our highly educated and professional managers and staff, as well as our emphasis on professionalism, ethics and excellence in customer service. 

Our owner and CEO, Michael Johnson, grew up moving frequently as a US Navy brat. Some of his favorite travels were to visit family in Utah and Idaho. Starting at BYU in January 1991, Michael has lived in Provo, the Avenues in Salt Lake City, West Jordan, and South Jordan; while also spending lots of family time at second homes in St. George, Utah and Island Park, Idaho (both his parents hailed from eastern Idaho). In 1996, Michael & Amy purchased their first home, a townhome in West Jordan, in Utah-local-homebuilder Bryson Garbett’s first development. In 1997, Michael was elected to be the first President of their townhome homeowner association (HOA). In 1999, Michael & Amy took the leap and started HOA community management full time and the rest is history.

Growth

Today with over 125 employees working in 9 offices, our association management company manages more associations and homes in Utah and Idaho than any other management company – locally or nationally owned. We are the only accredited portfolio association management company in Utah and southern Idaho. We live and breathe all things HOA and are dedicated to partnering with associations to help provide well-managed communities. 

As our expertise and knowledge has grown and developed in community association management, we have created several affiliated companies that make up the HOALiving Network: A+ Association Accounting, Custom Blind Solutions, FCS Community Management, FCS Rentals, FCS Home Sales, Idaho HOALiving, MAX Maintenance, and Splash Pool Services. 

Community Involvement

Not only are we involved in our community through our associations and giving back through FCS Gives and FCS Cares, but we are also deeply rooted in the HOA management community. Our CEO is a volunteer instructor for the Community Association Institute (CAI) and an internationally renowned educator in the field. 

Our leaders are committed to the continual improvement of the field through education and offer frequent continuing education seminars to share our knowledge. We are also actively involved in communicating and educating realtors and state & federal legislators on HOA needs to help develop laws and regulations that help HOAs and their homeowners.
